PPHI Sindh operates as a local NGO under the Government of Pakistan’s Regulations, with the authority to secure foreign assistance from the Trade Division. It is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven experienced individuals with extensive knowledge and expertise. The Board represents the Government of Sindh, including representatives from various sectors such as Health, Finance, Planning and Development, and Population Welfare.
PPHI’s journey began in 2007 in the Kashmore district, expanding over time to cover 22 districts in Sindh. Initially, this responsibility was entrusted to the organization under a contract with the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO). In 2013, the organization was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
The establishment of this organization aimed to improve healthcare delivery in rural areas of Sindh. Its immediate goal was to ensure that the healthcare facilities referred by PPHI functioned optimally and that healthcare was accessible to all.
A dedicated and competitive team was prepared to achieve this goal, which included doctors and staff who were consistently present at healthcare facilities and ensured the proper utilization of medical resources in a short period. Doctors and staff ensured the provision of quality healthcare and essential medications.
